Sam Mitchell, Fire Sam Mitchell, Sam Mitchell sucks, Raptors Coach, SMitch, Raps coach

Note taking

You’d be hard press to argue Jose is a (dorky) student…of the game:

Jose needs to study the Spurs-Hornets series. To go further with this metaphor… his examination will be next season.

The Raps seem light years behind the Hornets to me.

Raps were easily beaten byt the Magic, who are being easily beaten by the Pistons who will be beaten by either Boston or whoever comes out of the west.

I wonder how it would be if Calderon and Paul were on opposite teams

The better question would be, how much better would the Raptors be if we switched Smitch for Byron Scott?

Good point. I think the culture of winning is contagious, and Byron Scott has won.

Just as Jason Maxiell is likely a different player had he not been surrounded with intense competitors like the Pistons*, equally likely is a perennial loser to pick up subtle defeatist mindsets, not conducive to winning.

The Wolves and Mitchell, lack of talent notwithstanding, always failed to be truly energized (at least, to the point of success), EVEN with one of the all-time dynamos this league has ever seen.

*See guys like Leon Powe, House, Rondo also making the leap with KG. A certifiably driven lunatic, KG: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8wGVZpKQUsU

steve - so, the hornets would then be considerably worse w/ smitch at the helm than scott?

“so, the hornets would then be considerably worse w/ smitch at the helm than scott?”

    You could say that.

  7. admin Says:

Peja would get Kapono minutes and take 0.8 3’s a game…

  8. yertu damkule Says:

yeah, i guess you’re right. in the case of the hornets, it’s not the players, but the coach who is primarily responsible for their success, and bringing in such an incompetent boob like smitch would reduce them to a 2nd or 3rd tier team.
